Over 50% of the profits from every CD go to charity *

While there are many worthwhile charities out there, Claus with a Cause is proud to partner with one of the best for a third year.

The Kentucky Humane Societya private nonprofit organization, and Kentucky's largest largest no-kill animal shelter, was founded in 1884 and is a familiar name to animal lovers everywhere.  We are honored to be able to lend our support to this wonderful organization.

When you place your order, and also at the bottom of this page, you'll find several alternate charities listed, but The Kentucky Humane Society is our primary partner and they will be the default recipient of funds from your purchase, unless you choose otherwise.

"Profits" are defined as the amount of pretax money remaining from the sale of each CD (not including shipping charges), after the payment of residuals and production/manufacturing costs.

NOTE:  Because the funds which go to charity are included in the total sale price, they are not directly tax-deductible for the purchaser.

Alternative Charities

Claus with a Cause is extremely honored to be able to support The KY Humane Society, and very appreciative of their support, but we wanted to provide additional options for those who might have a different purpose in mind.  When you make your purchase, KHS will be the default recipient, but you will have the ability to redirect the proceeds from your purchase to any of the following charities:

  • Home of the Innocents:
  • Disabled American Veterans (DAV):
  • St. Jude's Children's Hospital:
  • Mercy Ships:

Donation History

Our first compilation, in 2013, had a much different cover.  At the time, we had two charities in mind, as our primary recipients:  The Wounded Warrior Project and Toys for Tots. Unfortunately, that year saw minimal sales, and we were not able to make any contribution to these fine organizations. As a result, Claus with a Cause committed to a total redesign of all graphics, as well as a revision to the actual title.

The 2014 release of "Claus with a Cause" saw a major re-branding, as well as a new set of charities:  Little Ears Hearing Centers and Kosair Charities.  Despite poor sales, we were able to make a reasonable donation to both charities, anyway.

In 2015, Kosair Charities and The KY Humane Society became our primary partners, and in 2016, The KY Humane Society become our only recipient.  In each of those years, we continued to make a financial contribution, regardless of the success of our sales.

Every year brings renewed optimism that we will experience a level of sales of such scale that we will truly be able to make a difference to our beneficiary.  In 2017, it is likely that you are here, having received a free copy of the 2013 edition.  We hope that you found it entertaining enough to warrant a follow-up purchase, as a gift to friends, family, or business associates, giving us the chance to significantly contribute to our wonderful charity partner.

No matter what, have a Joyous Christmas season, and thank you, for checking out our site!
